The AAHA Standard

AAHA is an animal health organization with a simple objective: to accredit veterinary practices who demonstrate excellence in everything they do.

In order to earn and keep accreditation, an animal hospital must undergo routine examination and inspection on approximately 900 variables. This includes requirements from anesthesia protocols, to practice management software, to staff training and everything in between. Due to the voluntary nature of AAHA accreditation and the exceptionally high standards, fewer than 15% of veterinary practices earn accreditation.
