Pain Control

Animals experience pain just like people, and we believe that pain should be prevented whenever possible. Pain is detrimental to a pet’s well-being, in addition to slowing the healing process. We use appropriate analgesic medications prior to, during, and after every surgical procedure to keep your pet comfortable.

Treating Pain

Pain can be caused by many medical conditions, including osteoarthritis, dental disease, intervertebral disc disease, and traumatic injuries. In cases involving chronic pain, we often recommend a multimodal pain control regimen that may include pain medications, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories (NSAIDs), veterinary supplements, and non-medical options, such as therapy or therapeutic exercises. By approaching your pet’s pain from multiple angles, we will work with you to keep them comfortable so they can enjoy their life to the fullest.
