Dr. Diane Walker
Veterinarian
Dr. Diane Walker grew up in Brant County on a family farm that had dairy cattle, then beef cattle, along with horse boarding and broiler breeding. She naturally cared for several horses, a pet cow, rabbits, dogs and cats. As a child Dr. Walker was a very active 4-H member and took part in horse, poultry, gardening and various craft clubs. She loved to have fancy chickens and has showed them at the Royal Winter Fair where one of her Black Banties won a prize.
In 1989, Dr. Walker moved to the Ottawa Valley and currently lives on Mississippi Lake with her husband, 4 rescue dogs and 2 cats. She is very passionate about Fear Free practice, behaviour, geriatric comfort and quality of life for older cats and dogs. She also really enjoys continuing education and helping people learn about their pets.
When Diane is not at work, she is embracing the winter by downhill skiing, snowshoeing, fat and ice biking, and snowmobiling. During the warmer months she enjoys training for marathons, participating in gravel bike race events and stand up paddling.
