Dr. Erin Hayden

Veterinarian

Dr. Erin Hayden joined BCVH in the fall of 2023. She hails from the East Coast of Canada. Her love of animals began at a young age living in the country and having lots of family pets to care for over the years. Erin pursued post-secondary studies at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She then moved to Toronto where she began volunteer work with an animal shelter. It was at this point that Erin knew she was meant to work with animals. She became a Registered Veterinary Technician in 2007 after graduating from Seneca College in King City. Erin worked as an RVT for 8 years before deciding to head back to school in beautiful Prince Edward Island to become a veterinarian. She graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2019.

Erin has many passions in veterinary medicine, but has a special interest in feline behaviour, dentistry, dermatology, and preventative medicine. She is Fear Free certified and takes a gentle, patient approach to ensure her patients and clients feel at ease in the hospital. Erin also enjoys client education and helping pet parents make the best decisions for them and their furry family members.

In her spare time, Dr. Erin loves travelling, gardening, baking and spending time with her family – both 2 and 4 legged.
