Dr. Karin Kubicek

Veterinarian

Dr. Karin has always loved animals and grew up with an assortment of pets (dogs, cats, birds, hamsters, guinea pigs), and spent a lot of time at a near by horse stable. By the age of 5 she had decided she was going to be a veterinarian and no-one could sway her from that decision!

She obtained an honors Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in nutrition from the University of Guelph in 1992 and then a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1998.

She has practiced small animal medicine mostly with dogs and cats, but in earlier years with exotics and pocket pets as well. Dr. Karin has been working in and around the Ottawa area as a locum, and has been working with the Blueberry team on and off since February 2020. Dr. Karin is thrilled to be here more permanently.

Dr. Karin enjoys helping pets and their people live better lives, and strives to make vet visits less stressful for pets and their people, using fear free practices.

Dr. Karin grew up in Ottawa and settled in Middleville 20 years ago, raising 2 boys with her husband. She has lots of interests to keep her busy: baking, scrap booking, painting, crafting in general, sewing, vegetable gardening, preserving the bounty from the garden, autocrossing and volunteering.
