Dr. Magda Eslimi

Veterinarian

Dr. Magda was born and raised in Poland and lived in a big industrial city where there were not many animals around. Regardless, she always had a passion for small animals and horses. At the age of 11, she started volunteering at a local barn, where besides riding lessons, she took care of kittens, goats, bunnies, ponies and horses.

Dr. Magda attended and graduated from Equine Reproduction and Horsemanship Boarding School and knew she wanted to be a vet to advocate for the ones who cannot talk. After graduating from the Academy of Agriculture in Lublin, Poland for Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Magda joined her husband in Canada. She settled into the Ottawa Valley in 2012 where she began working with equine patients before shifting her focus to small animals (cats and dogs) in 2016. She joined our amazing Blueberry Creek Veterinary Hospital team in 2022 and shares the same values and love for our patients.

Dr. Magda loves to learn and expand her knowledge, which is constant when working with small animals and keeps her from ever being bored! In her everyday work, she relishes the challenges that the science that medicine brings, but also that she can make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners. She treasures the long-term relationships that she develops with her clients as they work together to ensure that the pets they love receive the best care possible, and are always treated with kindness, compassion and respect.

When she’s not at work , Magda likes to spend time with her husband, son and daughter. They have 3 cats, 1 dog and a bunny. She loves horseback riding, swimming, cooking and crafts. She is honoured by the trust placed in her, not only by her patients but also by the people that love them.
